Stories From The Vinyl Café

My darling girlfriend sent me a fantastic birthday present which is a very funny and interesting book by a Canadian comedy guy and storyteller called Stuart McLean. Brittany has told me about this man and when I emigrate to Canada, one thing that is a must-do is to go and see Stuart McLean together. He has written many books and the one which I received for my birthday was one which my beautiful girlfriend had not read so this is not only a review for anybody who wishes to read this, but also a preview for my love. There are some lovely heartfelt stories about the main character, a guy called Dave (who reminds my beloved and I of me), as well as his family, friends and a range of wonderful characters which have came into his life. In addition, there are a lot of funny stories varying from shirts to jockstraps as well as much more. I highly recommend this book which is a relaxing and humourous read and a book which I will never forget.

Innocent Mosquitoes Book Review

I am very fortunate in doing Spanish tutor lessons to a good man called Howard Jackson, who is a very good author and an all around very kind guy. I have recently finished reading one of his books called 'Innocent Mosquitoes' which is a thrilling, interesting and informative read. It is based on his adventures to Brazil a couple of years ago and within the book, there is a lot of information about Brazil the country, as well as how it has evolved and incredible facts and details of the many towns, cities and villages inside the amazing country. I would highly recommend this book because I learned a lot of things as well as enjoyed reading about the fun journey which was taken by the main character, a man called Alfred. A must read and I admit that it does make you want to go to Brazil and see the locations, monuments and astounding places which are written about in this terrific piece of work.
